Tipu Sultan’s Palace in Bangalore
On my official trip to Bangalore I was not very keen on going sightseeing cause was overburdened with work. My tour planner always suggested that I go out for a change and spend some quality time in the city. Finally Rama, my tour representative took me for a visit to Tipu Sultan’s Palace in the region. The driver was another of his team members and thus during the entire journey they both kept talking and showing me the city, it was actually a nice change to get to know the significance of the monuments I had passed by earlier without noticing. The Palace was about 45 minutes drive from my hotel and adjacent to a city market area. The palace was impeccably decorated and had five intricately sculpted arches. The murals on walls and ceilings were gorgeous and much to my delight I could see numerous exquisite paintings too.
Fun at Cubbon Park
After an eventful day in the city of Bangalore, we were exhausted and just then were informed by Siddhesh, our tour guide that we had yet another place to be visited. I was convinced that we won’t be able to go any further and even then the polite insisting of our guide took us to another fascinating site in the city. This was the first park we visited in the famous city of gardens, Bangalore. The garden was a haven of a variety of beauteous, indigenous and exotic flora. It also included some ornamental and flowering exotic trees beautifully embellishing the walkways. The walk amidst the garden completely chased away the fatigue and we were soon feeling a lot relaxed and rejuvenated.
Rock it at Purple Haze
It is a dark pub in Bangalore, which plays hard core rock music. Thankfully my tour representative introduced me to the pub which was totally my kind of place and I remember spending three evenings sipping awesome cocktails in the company of heavy metal sounds. The pub has a surround sound system with a speaker in each and every corner giving you ample amount of music for your ears. They have really done a great job here and a visit to it is a must for all rock lovers spending vacations in Bengaluru.
