Pookote Lake : This fresh water lake lies above wooded hills. It attracts visitors in Wayanad with boating facilities, children’s park, spice/handicraft emporium and fresh water aquarium.
Chembra Peak : At 2100 meters, the spectacular Peak is located south of Wayanad. Being the tallest summit in the region, climbing it is a daunting task lasting for a full day.
Jain Temple : Lying in ruins, this 13th century temple is one of the renowned sightseeing places in Kalpetta that confirm a period of strong Jain presence in this region. Dedicated to reverred Jain saint, Ananthanatha Swami, it was a Hindu shrine and served as an ammunition store for Tipu Sultan.
Karalad Lake : A huge lake of over 7 acres, it is surrounded with lush greenery offering incredible sceneries amidst calm ambience.

Meenmutti Waterfalls : A 2-kilometer jungle trek in Wayanad takes you to the gorgeous waterfall in which the water drops about 300 meters in three stages.
Edakkal Caves : Engravings on the cave walls indicate Edakkal to have been inhabited at various historical stages. A telescope installed by the DTPC offers panoramic views of the surrounding country.
Pazhassi Raja’s Tomb : Earliest to revolt against the British, Pazhassi Raja took refuge in Wayanad and resorted to classical guerilla warfare. Killed in an encounter in 1805, Pazhassi king was cremated.
