  • A Day in Kovalam Beach :
  • I went to the Kovalam beach and it was a rewarded experience for me. I didn’t try swimming here as swimming was a bit of dangerous here. But the sunset views on the beach were pleasurable. I climbed to the cliff and took some wonderful photographs of the landscape. I had seen other white people on the beach frolicking in the silver sands.
    But an old man suddenly caught my attention and he reminded me of the old fisherman of Hemingway’s creation. I took a photograph of him and he smiled to me with an unknown compassion.

  • Kovalam Elephant Festival, the Festival of Vigor :
  • One of my close friends after visiting Kerala told me, “If you do plan a trip to Kerala go in the month of January as this is the month of festivity in Kerala”. As I am a culture freak I planned the trip in January. I witnessed the food festival and village fair in Kovalam. But the most memorable experience was the grand arrangement of the elephant festival. The elephants were decorated with colorful garments and garlands. Music groups, villagers all joined the procession. Like the other tourists I joined the procession with the elephant procession and sought blessings from elephants feeding thembanana leaves. So knowledgble the elephants were.

  • Ayurveda Treatment :
  • My fitness freak nature took me to ayurveda hotel named Hotel Neptune. I chose a rejuvenation massage from the menu of the treatments and after experiencing it I would really say ayurveda massage do wonders to the body. I felt the hands of the masseur had been playing rhythmic games on my body. Really the massage was extremely relaxing and rejuvenating.
