I visited Munnar in the post monsoon season and was lucky enough to witness the afternoon rain in this hill station. I set off to explore the Mattupetty dam which was very attractive and amusing place. It was a nice place to stun myeyes as I have felt the calmness of nature. I have enjoyed a boat ride at the Lake. I chose a speed launch boat and enjoyed the ride for half an hour.
The nearby landscapes caught my mind and heart. Boat riding here was really a great fun to me. After the boat ride I went to explore the dairy farm, the Indo-Swiss Livestock Project. The sights of Cattle rearing mesmerized me. Even I didn’t want to miss the beautiful places of the vicinity. I visited the Kundala tea plantations and Kundala Lake. Mattupetty is indeed a nice place for picnic located at a close distance from Munnar.
Memorable Visit to Attukal and Pothemedu :
When I visit a place I don’t want to miss anything. I have penchant for trekking in the hilly areas and this dream came true when I visited Munnar. I trekked to Attukal, the panorama of waterfalls and rolling hills located between Munnarand Pallivasal. The entire surroundings were eye-candy and rose up my spirit more. The place was good for long trekking. I explored the plantation gardens, the rolling hills, and the waterfalls. On the next day I visited Pothemedu, a nice place located at 6 kilometers from Munnar. My trekking experience was great; in each slope of the mountain I have seen the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations.
