Nelliyampathy

The entire environs of Nelliyampathy hill station added more zeal to my adventure spirit. I with my three friends penetrated into the dense forests and the trek was an exhilarating one, nonetheless sometimes I felt my presence in a primeval time. I walked clear across the hills, sometimes from the point I had seen the lower ground as well the horizon.
The stupendous knolls, lofty peaks, their slopes covered with trees and meadows, or an occasional mountain spring amidst the greenery caught my sight. The place was incredibly beautiful; I speculated in my mind that I was in God’s Own Country. I reached the Pothundi Reservoir which is surrounded by the tranquil lake and the rising hills.

Amazingly beautiful landscape. When we finally reached the spot of Seethakunda waterfall, we could not resist enjoying a bath in the crystal clear water of it. The trail was zigzag and we followed it without a local guide.
