Situated close to Malabar Hills on the Walkeshwar Road, this ancient temple is devoted to Lord Rama and Lakshaman. There is legend that Lord Rama and His brother, Lakashman, came here in search of Sita, Rama’s wife. In the premises of the temple is located a holy tank, called Banganga Tank.

 

Mahalakshami Temple
Located in Breach Candy, Mahalakshami is counted among the famous temples in Mumbai. Devoted to three Hindu goddesses, Mahalakshmi, Mahakali and Mahasaraswathi, this temple is visited by large number of devotees.  Statues of all the goddesses are adorned with heavy gold and diamond jewelry.

 

Jain Temple
Located on the Ridge road on Malabar Hills, this temple commands great devotion among all the Jain temples. This marble temple was constructed in 1903.

 

Siddhivinayak Temple
Devoted to Hindu Lord Ganesha, Siddhivinayak Temple was built 200 years ago. It is situated at Prabhadevi.  In Maharashtra, Ganesha is an important Deity and during Ganesha Chaturthi festival, huge crowd flock to this temple. Idol of Ganesha in the temple is made up of black stone. This is 2 and half feet high and is adorned with a gold crown.

MumbaDevi Temple
Built in honor of Goddess MumbaDevi, this temple is highly respected by descendants of the Dravidian of western & southern India.  Mumbai got its name after this goddess which personifies Mother Earth. It is situated at Phansi Talao.

 

Bhuleshwar Temple
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple has really amazing architecture. Originally it was built 200 years ago but was replied by present structure in 1830. Built of black stone, this temple has ornamental octagonal dome. Bhuleshwar is also called as Bholeshwar (The Pure One).
