 Day 1: Arrive in Bagdogra

Our tour representative will welcome you at the Bagdogra airport to your Bhutan Heriatge Tour. You will be taken to a hotel in Darjeeling by our representative. This Bhutan Heritage tour packages will provide you golden options to explore the heritage beauty of Bhutan and its spectacular mountains and Buddhist monasteries. On reaching the spectacular city Darjeeling, take a hotel here.

Day 2: Darjeeling

Today enjoy the whole day sightseeing in Darjeeling, one of the most beautiful hill stations in West Bengal state of India. It is a spectacular hill station developed during the British rule due to its finer climate. Its tea plantation and Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a world heritage site, are eye-candy to tourists. In the early morning enjoy the sunrise view from a hill point. Visit here Ghoom monastery, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, etc. Darjeeling is perched on the Himalayan region at an altitude of 2134 meter. Darjeeling’s tea is known as the “Champagne of the East”.  Return back to the hotel and lay on the bed for the night.

Day 3: Darjeeling – Kalimpong

After breakfast at the hotel start your drive to Kalimpong, a hilly place located at an altitude of 1250 meter above sea level is scheduled. On reaching it, take a hotel for overnight stay. Thereafter guests will visit Tharpa Choling Monastery. Go to viewpoints-Durpin Dara and Deoro Hill. You can have the stunning views of the Mt Kanchenjunga and the other Himalayan peaks. This place is also known for various flower gardens and nurseries.

Day 4: Kalimpong – Gangtok

On the 4th day of Heritage tour to Bhutan, start your morning drive to Gangtok, the capital of Indian state Sikkim. Gangtok is a hilly city with various beautiful monasteries and Stupas. On reaching here take a hotel. Visit here the Stupas and monasteries, Do-drul Chorten Stupa, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, etc. You can do shopping here as Gangtok has various unique products of shawls, carpets and other handicrafts products.

Day -05: Gangtok

On the second day in Gangtok, enjoy the whole day in sightseeing. In the morning visit to the Rumtek Monastery and Tashi View Point from where you will have stunning views of the Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Siniolchu. Spend the second night in Gangtok.

Day 6: Gangtok – Phuentsholing

Today you have to drive to Phuentsholing, a border town of Bhutan opposite the town of India Jaigaon. On the way to this town you will cross various spectacular green tea gardens.  This town is a commercial centre of Bhutan having a mix culture of both Bhutan and India. On reaching it take a hotel. In the evening just wander around the city and its local market. Have dinner and lay on the bed.

Day 7: Phuentsholing – Thimphu

After breakfast start your drive to Thimphu valley, the capital town of Bhutan. On the way visit Kharbandi Goemba monastery and Simtkha Dzong - the oldest fortress of the Kingdom. At Thimphu guests will stay at the hotel booked previously by our tour operator in Bhutan.

Day -8: Thimphu

Today explore the places of importance of Thimphu valley. Visit Trashichho Dzong - the fortress of the glorious religion, Memorial Chorten - the Stupa built in memory of Bhutan’s Third King, National Library, Art School, Traditional Medicine Institute, the Textile and Folk Heritage Museum and Government Handicrafts Emporium. After exploring the places go to the shopping centers. Spend the second night also in Thimpu hotel.

Day 9: Thimphu – Punakha

Start your morning drive to Punakha across Dochula pass. Punakha is an idyllic district having beautiful villages and rice cultivation. Drive to Wangduephodrang. Visit here the majestic Wangduephodrang Dzong perched on the top of the hill. Visit here some Buddhist novices. Come back to your hotel in Punakha. Take rest at the Punakha hotel.

Day 10: Punakha – Paro

On the 10th day of heritage tour in Bhutan drive to Paro, a spectacular valley with a rich tradition and culture. On reaching Paro valley take a hotel here. In the afternoon visit Ta Dzong, National Museum of the Kingdom and Rinpung Dzong.

Day -11: Paro

Morning visit Durkgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress where Bhutanese warriors fended off several invasions by Tibetan armies. Also visit a traditional farm house which you will get a good view of the culture and lifestyle of local people. Visit Taktsang Monastery, the most beautiful monastery in Paro valley perched on a hillock.  Go to the local market and buy some handicrafts item as a souvenir of your journey.

Day 12: Paro-Departure

Today your heritage tour of Bhutan itinerary will end with exploration of various beautiful locations of Bhutan. The memories of tour in Bhutan will remain your mind in your heart for ever. You have to catch your flight at Paro International to your next destination.
