You will be welcomed by our representative on arrival at Colombo International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Negombo. Take an afternoon city tour of Negombo and return to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast, leave for Anuradhapura and take a city tour of this ancient capital. Anuradhapura (a World Heritage Site) is the first capital and undoubtedly the grandest city of ancient Sri Lanka. Sri Maha Bodhi (Sacred Bo-Tree) was brought as a sapling of the main tree under which Lord Buddha had attained enlightenment. It is over 2,200 years old and is the oldest historically documented tree in the world. Proceed to your hotel in Anuradhapura for the overnight stay.
After breakfast, leave for Jaffna. Upon arrival, take a city tour of Jaffna before checking in to the hotel for the overnight stay in Jaffna.
After an early breakfast, take a boat tour of the Delft Island. Delft Island is a small and remote island located in the area between the northern part of Sri Lanka and India’s southern state of Tamil Nadu. The island is best known for its population of wild horses left by the Portuguese, and the iconic rural life there.
In the afternoon, take the boat tour of the beautiful Nagadeepa Island, one of the islands of the cluster of belonging to the cluster of islands in the Palk Bay off the Jaffna Peninsula. The history of Nagadeepa is connected to Buddha’s visit to Sri Lanka in the 6th century B.C. The island, dotted with several Buddhist temples, is of great religious significance and beauty. Return to your hotel for the night in Jaffna.
After breakfast, proceed to Trincomalee and check-in to your hotel for the overnight stay. Take an afternoon city tour of Trincomalee and return to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast, head out to explore the marine national parks in Pigeon Island. In the afternoon, take a tour of the Kokkilai Bird Sanctuary. You will find numerous water birds and a haven for migratory birds. Some of the common sightings are cormorants, ducks, egrets, flamingoes, herons, ibis, pelicans, and storks. Return to your hotel for the overnight stay in Trincomalee.
After breakfast, leave for Polonnaruwa and check-in to the hotel of your choice. Take an afternoon safari at Minneriya National Park. The park is Sri Lanka’s best place to spot the wild elephants in their natural habitat amidst the vast expanse of verdant surroundings. Return to your hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, take a city tour of Polonnaruwa. Later proceed to Negombo and check-in to your hotel for the night.
