Itinerary

Upon arrival at the Mumbai Airport you will be transferred to the hotel. Check into the hotel and relax. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast; proceed for Mumbai sightseeing starting with a visit to the Elephanta Caves located on the Elephanta Island. Enjoy a ferry ride from the Gateway of India to the Elephanta Caves built between 5th-8th centuries. These caves are originally a set of rock-cut cave temple. An impressive 20 ft. high Trimurthi featuring the three aspects of Lord Shiva: Creator, Protector and Destroyer, is the prime highlight of this cave temple. Take the ferry ride back to the Gateway of India. Spend time clicking photographs at the Gateway of India - one of the prime landmarks of Mumbai. Built in 1924, it was built in the honor of King George V and Queen Mary's visit to India in 1911. Next, visit the Prince of Wales Museum, also called Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, built during the early 20th century. This museum is a blend of Indo-Saracenic architecture with an impressive Mughal white dome atop the museum. It is said to have around 2,000 miniature paintings along with artifacts belonging to the Indus Valley civilization. Later, visit the Hanging Gardens established in 1880 at the Malabar Hills. A splendid view of the Arabian Sea adds to the beauty of this natural realm. A striking flower clock is the main attraction here. End your Mumbai tour with an evening visit to the Marine Drive (Queen’s Necklace). It is the heart and soul of Mumbai, stretched across the coast of Arabian Sea that looks like a dazzling necklace.

After breakfast, get ready for Goa sightseeing. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus dedicated to "Bom Jesus" meaning “infant Jesus”. This is about 400-years old UNESCO site that stands unique from other churches with its un-plastered exterior. Built in the year 1594, it is one of the magnificent examples of Baroque architecture. Next, visit the Se Cathedral Church dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria. It is a beautiful edifice graced with superb Iberian façades, intricate mosaic work and carvings. It is renowned for its biggest Church Bell in Goa. Close to Se Cathedral is the Museum of Christian Art that carries a good collection of priest robes, archaic, wine cups (chalices), gorgeous paintings and statues. Later, visit the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception. Built in honour of Mary Immaculate in 1541, the church has the second largest church bell in Goa, after the Se Cathedral. Later, visit Aguada Fort, situated on the confluence of the Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea. This 17th century Portuguese-styled fort is named after a fresh water spring that supplied water to the Aguada Fort - wherein “Agua” is a Portuguese word that means water and “Aguada” means where the water gets collected. The Fort lures visitors for its scenic landscapes, spectacular sea views and awe-inspiring historic tales. Spend time clicking photographs here. Drive past Sinquerim Beach, Candolim Beach and Calangute Beach. Visit the Church of Mae de Deus in Saligao, Goa. This pristine white-painted Church built in 1873 is one of the finest examples of Neo-Gothic style of architecture. It is a stunningly distinctive church dedicated to Nossa Senhora Mai de deus (Mother of God). Drive past Baga and Anjuna beach. Visit the Vagator Beach and the 17th century Chapora Fort, known for its mesmerizing sunset views in the evening.
