Day 01: Arrive Cochin
Kathakali Dance

On arrival at Cochin International airport, Our GeTS Holidays representative will meet you at the Airport and transfer you to your pre-booked hotel. Relax and enjoy a day of leisure.
Overnight stay in Cochin.


Day 02: Cochin sightseeing

Have breakfast in the morning and then embark on a sightseeing tour of Cochin which includes visit to the Dutch Palace Museum also called as Mattancherry Palace, a traditional Kerala-styled edifice which was gifted to the King of Cochin by the Portuguese in 1555. Next visit the St. Francis Church, India’s oldest European church built in 1503 by the Portuguese; it draws large number of tourists and once marked the burial site of the famous Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama (the first European to reach India), before being moved to Lisbon. Then, arrive at the Hill Palace Museum, Kerala’s first ever heritage museum exhibiting oil-paintings, murals, sculptures, manuscripts and belongings of the Kochi royal family. Your next trip is to the Jewish Synagogue, India’s oldest active synagogue built in 1568, with antiques adorning its interiors. Lastly, proceed to be at Cochin’s landmark - the giant Chinese Fishing Nets. Later, in the evening enjoy a Kathakali dance performance

(Note: The Eravikulam National Park remains closed for visitors from February to April during the calving season of the Nilgiri Tahr)

 

Day 03: Cochin - Munnar (140 Km / 04 Hrs Drive Approx.)

This morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and take a scenic drive to the enchanting hill station of Munnar (approx. 1530 ft. above the sea level). Enroute to Munnar, treat your eyes to the panoramic views of the Cardamom Hills and vast green carpets of tea plantation. Upon arrival in Munnar, check into the hotel/resort. You may choose to relax in your room awhile and then start trekking around the estate.
Stay overnight at hotel/resort in Munnar.



Day 04: Munnar Sightseeing

Post breakfast in the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Munnar which includes visit to Kundala Lake (approx. 1700 m above sea level) - located amid absolutely picturesque surrounding of green valleys and majestic landscapes, Shooting Point - one of the most photogenic place near Munnar, Echo Point, Mattupetty Dam - beautifully reflecting the nearby tea gardens, and the Eravikulam National Park (spread over 97 sq. km) - home to the rare and endangered goat species, Nilgiri Tahr; the park is also famous for the unique and rare blue Neelakurinji Flowers which blossoms only once in 12 years.
Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 05: Munnar - Periyar (92 Kms/ 3.5 Hrs Drive Approx.)

After breakfast in the morning, check out of the hotel and drive to Periyar (Thekkady), a place blessed with elephants and other exotic wildlife, unending chains of hills and aromatic spice plantations. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, embark on a sightseeing tour of Periyar National Park - one of the best wildlife sanctuary in India, spanning an area of 935 sq. km. and replete with scenic beauty and rich biodiversity, set high at the Western Ghat Mountain ranges.
Return to the hotel/resort in Thekkady for stay overnight.



Day 06: Periyar – Kumarakom (135 Km / 4 Hrs Drive Approx.)

Have a great breakfast in the morning and then set off for Kumarakom. Reach Kumarakom and then proceed towards hotel. Check-into hotel and relax. After some time set off for some sightseeing and visit Kumarakom - a scenic village located at the picturesque bank of the Vembanad Lake. Visit the exotic Kumarakom bird sanctuary and see varied species of colourful as well migratory birds in the park. The bird sanctuary is also termed as Ornithologist’s Paradise.
Overnight stay at hotel in Kumarakom.


Day 07: Kumarakom - Alleppey

Post breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Alleppey. Alleppey is the land of stunning backwaters and backbone of Kerala’s tourism. Upon arrival check-in at the houseboat and enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy the beauty of nature as you cruise on a traditional Kerala-styled houseboat meandering through the network of lakes, lagoons and canals.
Dinner and overnight stay on-board at the houseboat in Alleppey.

 

Day 08: Alleppey - Cochin (54 Km / 2 Hrs Drive Approx.)

Post breakfast check-out from the houseboat and then get driven towards Cochin. Upon arrival in Cochin get transferred to the airport for your flight for onward destination.
