Kathmandu, the capital city bustles with Nepalese heritage. Housing one of the holiest Hindu temples of the world, Pashupatinath, Kathmandu is widely thronged by tourists be it pilgrims or nature lovers. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, a lot of Hindus prefer being cremated on temple premises. Pokhara's diverse demographies, mostly unexplored, are fun to unravel. Nagarkot's virgin beauty and pollution free haven is much sought after.

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu
As you arrive at Kathmandu airport, you will be welcomed by our GeTS Holidays representative and escorted to the hotel.
Enjoy your leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 02: In Kathmandu

Morning after breakfast at your hotel, proceed for the full day sightseeing of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath Stupa and Patan City.

Post breakfast at the hotel, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City.

Kathmandu Durbar Square, at the heart of the city, is a leading cultural site of Nepal. Better known as the Hanuman Dhoka Square (UNESCO World Heritage Site) it was built by King Pratap Malla at the entrance of the palace. The complex is dotted with Hindu and Buddhist Temple.

Swoyambhunath Stupa — After visit, continue to Swoyambhunath stupa, sacred Buddhist shrine, also known as Monkey Temple, known for its white dome crowned with golden spire.

Patan City — Patan Durbar Square Also known as Lalitpur or the city of fine arts. Patan Durbar Square is a concentrated mass of temples, a classic example of Newari architecture to be seen in Nepal. Listed in World Heritage Site, the former Royal Palace complex is the center of Patan's religious and social life, and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot (32Km, 1.5hrs drive)

Post breakfast at your hotel, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa.

Pashupatinath Temple: The most important Hindu Shrine in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva, on the banks of Bagmati River. The temple is shaped like a pagoda with a gold-plated roof, four silver doors, and wood carvings. Raised platforms on the banks of Bagmati are cremation sites for Hindus. Only Hindus are allowed inside the Pashupatinath courtyard.

Next, Boudhanath Stupa (or Bodnath Stupa): One of the largest stupas in the world, most important and largest Buddhist shrine in Nepal. It is a World Heritage Site.
This Stupa, set in a pattern of a "Mandala" is encircled by houses and monasteries where Buddhist monks reside. Around the base is a ring of 108 images of the Buddha and 147 insets containing prayer wheels. 

Later drive to Nagarkot en-route visit Bhaktapur City.

Bhaktapur City — Located about 20 km east of Kathmandu, it is referred to as City of Devotees, or the 'City of Culture'. The city is full of heritage buildings, monuments, palaces, pagodas and temples. Lying along the ancient trade route between India and Tibet, Bhaktapur is surrounded by mountains and provides a magnificent view of the Himalayas.

Day 04: Drive from Nagarkot to Pokhara (210 Km, 5-6 hrs drive)

Head out in the dark for a splendid sunrise on Himalayan backdrop. After breakfast at your hotel, proceed to Pokhara. En-route visit Manokamana Devi Temple by Cable car.
Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into the hotel. Pokhara valley to the west of Kathmandu, is the second biggest city of Nepal. An unplugged view of lofty peaks from Pokhara, with snow fed lakes, make it a tourist's favorite. Pokhara’s bewitching beauty has been the subject of many travel writers. With the magnificent Annapurna range forming the backdrop and the serenity of three major lakes – Phewa, Rupa and Begnas. Pokhara his valley is the most famous trekking starting gateway for world famous trekking areas such as to Fishtail, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri area.

Day 05: In Pokhara

Early morning Sunrise over the Himalayas.
Drive back to the hotel in Pokhara, Setout for a half day sightseeing of Pokhara City (including Bindhyabasini Temple, Davis Fall, Gupteshwor cave, Seti river gorge, Tibetan Village)
Venture out ob a boat cruise on Phewa Lake.

Day 06: Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan (175 Km, 4-5 hrs drive)

Proceed to Chitwan, post breakfast.

Morning, drive along a scenic mountain highway to Chitwan. Upon arrival, check-in at the Jungle Lodge. After lunch, commence on a half-day Jungle tour on elephant back.
Overnight at Resort

Day 07: In Chitwan

Morning after breakfast at your resort, full day jungle activities as per resort program, be it Canoeing, Jungle Walk, Elephant bath, Visit Elephant breeding center & Crocodile breeding center.
Dinner & Overnight at the Resort

Day 08: Fly back to Kathmandu

Head to the airport after breakfast to fly to Kathmandu.
Check in at a hotel and be on your own. Shopping is advisable.

Day 09: Departure

You're free all day post breakfast. You'll be taken to the international airport on time to connect flight to onward destination.
