Itinerary

Meet your guide at the Rajeev Chowk metro station. Board a Tuk-Tuk and ride past Delhi’s historical highways until you reach the Ancient Hanuman Temple. This temple is believed to be one of the five temples that were built during the time of the Mahabharata. The main deity in the temple is that of Lord Hanuman, famously known as the Monkey God, and every day devotees congregate at the temple premises in indefinite numbers. Learn about history and legend of this temple from your expert guide. Apart from the ancient idol, the temple area is also famous for colorful bangles and the age-old henna art which has been practiced around the temple from many years. Witness the beautiful Henna designs, indulge in its exotic smell and even get a henna tattoo at your own expense. Note: Henna tattoo option subject to availability in the morning session.

After that, walk with your expert guide towards the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. This Sikh house of worship was constructed at the site where the eighth Sikh guru, Harkrishan Dev, stayed before his death in 1664. In addition, the Gurudwara has a cosmic tank which is believed to have healing powers. The concept of langar is practiced at this temple, and all people regardless of race or religion may eat for free in the Gurdwara kitchen (langar hall). Visit the gigantic kitchen, where meals for thousands of people are prepared every day, and get a chance to volunteer in the langar (contact the local tour operator after booking to arrange this volunteer opportunity). After your time at the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, board a Tuk-Tuk and head back to Rajeev Chowk metro station where your tour concludes.
