Celebrate Diwali - the festival of Lights with an Indian Family and get to know the story behind the festival. Engage in various activities with your host like rangoli (floral design patterns made with colored powder) making, decorating the house with earthen oil lamps (diyas), and taking part in puja, as part of the celebrations
Your tour starts with a pick up from the hotel. Get transferred to your host’s home where you will take part in Diwali celebrations. Upon arrival, get welcomed in traditional Indian style & followed by some refreshments. Get to know about the story behind the festival & its significance from your host. After some time get ready to take part in activities like decorating the house with Earthern oil lamps, locally called diyas, and candles. Also, engage in rangoli making along with your host. Afterwards, enjoy some Indian sweets and finally sit together with the host family for Diwali Lakshmi Puja rituals – an important part of the celebrations, done by an Indian priest. After the puja, have a delicious Indian dinner prepared by your host and engage in some conversations at the dinner table. As the amazing experience comes to an end, say goodbye to your host family.
