Itinerary

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel for a lovely sightseeing tour. First, you will visit Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (Prince of Wales Museum). This museum was established in 1922 and it has galleries displaying Indian Miniature Painting, Decorative Art objects, Nepalese and Tibetan artifacts, and many interesting collections.

After exploring the museum, you will visit Mani Bhavan (Gandhi Museum). Here, explore Mahatma Gandhi’s room, a library; see his photos and many other displays.

Later, visit Dhobi Ghat which is an open-air laundromat in Mumbai. Dhobi is a traditional laundryman who collects dirty linen and washes in an open area and then returns them to your doorstep.

After witnessing the massive washing area, visit the Gateway of India. Built-in 1924, it was built in honour of King George V and Queen Mary's visit to India in 1911. You can spend time taking pictures of the iconic and important landmark of Mumbai located close to the Taj Mahal Hotel where the 26/11 terror attack took place.

You will drive pass Mumbai University which is the oldest in Maharashtra, many Bollywood movies have also been shot here. Close to the University, you can also see the iconic Rajabai Clock Tower. Since it is also a part of the Victorian and Art Deco Ensemble of Mumbai, it comes under the UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will drive through Mumbai’s iconic road called Marine Drive which is also known as Queens Necklace. This road is an ideal spot to watch the sunset and see the city lights illuminate at night. It is the heart and soul of Mumbai which stretches across the coast of the Arabian Sea.
