Set out on a voyage that takes you through the streets of Delhi to the holy sanctum of Vaishno Devi. One of the most popular pilgrim centres in the world, the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is set in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains in Jammu and Kashmir. Here, the Bhawan houses the sanctum sanctorum or the holy cave where the goddess manifested herself in the form of natural rock formations, known as the three Holy Pindies. Visited by millions of pilgrims every year, the Mother Goddess is believed to fulfil whatever her devotees wish for. Also, explore the wonders of Delhi such as Jama Masjid, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Red Fort, Rajghat and Humayun’s Tomb.
On your arrival to Delhi airport, our representative will welcome and guide you to the respective hotel. You can choose between shopping or half a day city excursion. Visit Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in India, built by Emperor Shah Jahan. Enjoy a walk in Chandni Chowk, the busiest market in Old Delhi. Drive past Red Fort, Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate. Visit Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi that marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Later visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. It was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent where the Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale. Later in the afternoon, return to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Delhi.
After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Delhi airport to board the flight to Jammu. Upon arrival in Jammu in the morning drive to Katra; check in at a hotel and then relax. Overnight stay in Katra.
After breakfast, you will take a helicopter to Sanji Chhat. Upon arrival at Sanji Chhat walk up to the shrine (approx. 2kms trek downhill). Thereafter, a darshan of auspicious Vaishno Devi shrine is what you’ll go for next. Guests need to stand in queue at the main entrance of Vaishno Devi shrine to have a darshan of Mata ji. After darshan you will be back to helipad. Upon arrival in Katra you will check in at a hotel and then enjoy a delicious lunch. Later in the afternoon check out of the hotel and drive to Jammu; on arrival in Jammu visit Bahu Fort and Raghunath Temple. In the evening leave for Jammu railway station and board night train to Delhi. Overnight in train.
Early morning you will reach the New Delhi railway station; henceforth your trip ends and we wish you safe, happy journey back home.
