Start your day with early morning pickup in Khajuraho at your hotel, or the airport or railway station. Drive to Panna National Park, arriving in time to watch the sunrise before your jungle safari. Situated in the Vindhya Hills along the Ken River, Panna National Park includes a large plateau that hosts lush teak forest and waterfalls, and shelters one of India's most renowned tiger reserves along with more than 200 other animal and bird species. Explore the wilderness of the park by Jeep with your guide, and hope to glimpse of the elusive tigers and other animals in the jungle. Learn about the different flora and fauna of the area, then have breakfast at a resort inside the national park before returning to your hotel in Khajuraho. Spend the rest of the morning and early afternoon at your leisure. Then later in the afternoon, your guide picks you up for the excursion to the Khajuraho Group of Monuments—a collection of Hindu and Jain temples that have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temples date back to AD 950 and feature Nagar-style architecture and some erotic carvings among the elaborate decorations. After taking time to explore several of the temples, your tour ends with evening drop-off in Khajuraho.
