Itinerary

Our representative will welcome you on arrival at the airport and escort you to the hotel. Check in to the hotel and relax. After wash and change, proceed for half day city tour of Old & New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in India, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. Enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, the busiest market in Old Delhi. Visit Red Fort (closed every Monday), President House, India Gate and several other government buildings in Edwin Lutyen’s modern Delhi before you head to Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi that marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Thereafter, visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. It was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent where the Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale. Later in the evening visit the Qutab Minar, which is the tallest brick minaret in the world; it was commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi. Post sightseeing, return to the hotel and spend the evening leisurely.

Early in the morning, get transferred to the airport to board the flight to Jammu. Upon arrival Jammu you will drive to Katra; Arrive in Katra and check in to the hotel. Thereafter you are free at leisure for your independent activities.

In the morning proceed to Katra helipad and get onboard the helicopter (helicopter ride on your own cost). Take a flight to Sanjichhat where helicopter will drop you, from here you will have to trek for 2.5 Kms to reach the temple. Optionally, you may trek up/ down the temple on well paved road from Katra which is approximately 12 Kms in distance. A number of devotees visit this holy shrine from all across the world. On reaching the Vaishno Devi Bhawan, seek the blessings of Maa Vaishno who is present there in the form of pindis inside the holy cave. Post break, you may take the uphill steps or a pony or cable car ride to visit Bhairon Baba. After that, head back to Katra by helicopter.

After breakfast, you will drive to Jammu airport to board the flight for Srinagar. On arrival you will proceed for half day sightseeing of Srinagar, also known as Paradise on Earth. Explore the famous Mughal Gardens portraying fine example of Mughal style of garden design and architecture. The Mughal gardens are a combination of three renowned gardens developed over a period of time during the seventieth century. The Shalimar bagh (the Abode of Love) - the largest was laid by Emperor Jehangir in 1619, Nishat bagh (the Garden of Pleasure) - a beautiful terraced garden with a backdrop of the beautiful mountains, and the Chashme-Shahi (the Royal Spring) - one of the most charming of the gardens along the banks of the Dal Lake, was laid by emperor Shah Jahan in 1632. Later return to the hotel and relax. Overnight in Srinagar.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to airport to board flight for Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for individual activities.

Early in the morning, get transferred to New Delhi railway station to board train for Haridwar. The best comfortable way of approaching Haridwar from Delhi is by train- a superior quality air-conditioned class Shatabdi train reaches you Haridwar within just 5hours in a very relaxed way.

Upon arrival you will check in at a hotel and relax. Thereafter you will proceed for half-day tour of Haridwar. Haridwar or 'the Gateway to the Gods' is one of the seven holiest places according to Hindu mythology, as the Gods are believed to have left their footprints in Haridwar. The town stands as the gateway to the other three important pilgrimages of Uttrakhand - Rishikesh, Badrinath and Kedarnath. Visit Har-Ki-Pauri, the sacred ghat was constructed by King Vikramaditya in the memory of his brother Bhartrihari. The golden reflection of floral diyas in the river Ganges is the most enchanting sight in the twilight during the Ganga aarti ceremony at the ghat. Drive past the other bathing ghats at the Ganga river, where pilgrims come to take a dip. It is believed that all your sins get washed away if you take dip in Ganga River at Haridwar. Thereafter, visit the Mansadevi Temple. This temple atop the Bilwa Parvat offers a panoramic view of Haridwar, the Ganges, and the countryside.

After breakfast you will drive to Rishikesh for half-day tour. One of the holiest cities in India, Rishikesh is not just known for its religious connection, but also for its stunning landscape. Surrounded by the Shivalik Range on three sides, with Holy River Ganga River flowing through it, Rishikesh is truly an ethereal experience. Visit the Lakshman Jhula, a suspended bridge across the Ganga. Legend has it that Lakshman crossed a bridge made of jute ropes here. The view from the bridge is panoramic mountains, the river, the temples and the ashrams. Later, visit Muni-ki-Reti, literally, the sands of the sages. The sandy banks of the Ganga have been used by the sages for meditation for years, thus giving the area its name. Muni-ki-Reti is known for the many ashrams that dot the area. The Beatles too visited the now closed Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram here in the sixties. Post sightseeing, drive back to Haridwar and relax.

After breakfast, you are at leisure; later in afternoon you will check out hotel and drive to Haridwar railway station to board train for Delhi. On arrival at New Delhi railway station, meet your driver and get transferred to hotel; check in at a hotel and relax. Overnight in Delhi.

After breakfast you will drive to Agra. Upon arrival Agra, you will explore the city of Agra. History says, Agra was founded by Sultan Sikander Lodi in 1504. But it flourished much later under Mughal patronage. If it's Agra, Taj Mahal (closed every Friday) has to be your halt. The white marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal on the banks of Yamuna, is the ultimate epitome of love. Owing to beautiful Mughal architecture, Taj once featured among the Seven Wonders of The World.

Next visit Agra Fort which was commissioned in 1565 by Akbar, and subsequently embellished by other Mughal Emperors. The beautiful yet forbidding structure is a handsome example of Mughal architecture. Thereafter, visit Itmad- Ud - Daula, known as the "Baby Taj", on the banks of the River Yamuna. A recursor to the Taj dating from 1628, this exquisite mausoleum was built by the Empress Nur Jahan for her father, and is filled with artistic detail. Explore the beautiful rooms, adorned with trellises and precious stones, and hear how their design reflects Persian influences.
