Vaishno Devi in Jammu is one of the sacred pilgrim halts in India. Millions trek to the shrine in summer for religious reason or sheer adventure. One of the most popular pilgrim centres in the world, the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is set in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains in Jammu and Kashmir. Here, the Bhawan houses the sanctum sanctorum or the holy cave where the goddess manifested herself in the form of natural rock formations, known as the three Holy Pindies. Visited by millions of pilgrims every year, the Mother Goddess is believed to fulfil whatever her devotees wish for.
Upon arrival at Jammu railway station, our representative will meet you and transfer you to Katra. Katra is located on the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains in the Himalayas is the one of the most religious cities in Jammu and Kashmir. This is the closest halt for the devotees coming to the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, one of the most respected deities of Hinduism. Katra draws a huge number of devotees though out the year. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Later in afternoon you will walk uphill towards auspicious Vaishno Devi shrine (approx. 4-5hrs of walk; 12kms); on reaching main entrance of the shrine, you will have to stand in queue to get a darshan of Mata ji (the deity). After darshan you can relax at a room inside the Bhavan and stay overnight.
Early morning you will walk back to Katra and check in at a hotel at noon. After refreshments, you will check out from the hotel. You will be dropped in Jammu for your onward journey. Henceforth, you are on your own and end of our services.
